About
Cornerstone Press is a small-run publishing company run by students taking English 349, Editing and Publishing. Cornerstone Press is not a commercial press, but rather an avenue through which students can learn the ins and outs of a publishing firm.Hilarious article titled “I’m Comic Sans, Asshole” brought to my attention by fabulous former Cornerstone Press staffer Maggie. With the end of the semester and summer upon us, the Cornerstone Press staff are looking forward to a little relaxation and sun.
However, we want everyone to keep in mind that Cornerstone Press will be accepting submissions for manuscripts in the very near future.

This is Christopher Walken reading Where the Wild Things Are. He has an interesting take on the story.
Warning: Christopher Walken uses some vibrant language, so for those who are sensitive to that, it is best that you do not push the play button.
With that out of the way, enjoy!

It’s the the end of the semester and we are wrapped up here at Cornerstone Press!
Before we let a new class come and take over, I thought I’d leave you with some links! Towards the end of the semester we discussed how to get into e-publishing, and, in our research, Lulu.com and Smashwords.com kept popping up. They have great guides and helpful tips to help lead you to getting your own manuscript published!
Have a great summer everyone!

Rintala Eggertsson Architects have almost finished constructing a three-storey tower of books for the V&A’s ‘1:1 - Architects Build Small Spaces’ exhibition. Follow exhibition assistant Laura Southall on a tour of the interior of the structure which features an intimate reading chamber on each level of the structure (and approximately 6,000 books…)

So the end of the semester is upon us. It is hard to believe that just a few months ago Per was warning us just how much work we were going to be doing for the course, Editing and Publishing, as well as Cornerstone Press. Hours upon hours at Perkins, mass amounts of tea drank, and many sleepless nights later, here we are. The copy-editing team has put our red pens down and packed it up, wiped the ink from our fingers and stacked away the Chicago Manual of Style. Wow, what a ride it has been! Since the copy-editing team had actually been done for awhile, we spent most of our time working on the marketing aspects of the class. Syncopationis now in bookstores across Wisconsin, waiting to be picked up. Now, all that is left to do is find a hammock, grab a good book, and enjoy :)

I just wanted to take a moment and thank all of you at Cornerstone Press for all your hard work. You have all been wonderful in the participation and spreading of our newest publication, Syncopation.
I would also like to remind all of you, employees and internet perusers, that just because summer has arrived and the semester is over doesn’t mean our publications take a rest. Those of us who can will still be out there spreading the word about our books.
Once again, congratulations on all your fine work. And a special thank you to Elizabeth Felt for writing such an engrossing and thought provoking novel.
I find myself dedicated to the success of it not only for Cornerstone, but for people who have yet to read it. I truly feel they have missed out on something special should they pass up the opportunity.
This might seem familiar for anyone who has ever tried to either write or produce a book.
Enjoy
Jenna
